Dear Colleagues,
DÜŞÜNEN ADAM: The Journal of Psychiatry and Neurological Sciences is an inveterate periodical with profound contribution to the field, which has been published since 1984 with current content papers of Bakırköy Research and Training Hospital for Psychiatry, Neurology and Neurosurgery as well as the external authors from scientific community. A quarter of a century has fallen behind for our journal as of 2010. Especially in the recent years, the salient improvements in technology used for publication of scientific papers and access to current content as well as the alternating needs of scientific world led to some changes in our journal with a new breath, excitement, vision and mindset:
1. The new editorial board was re-structured dynamically in reference to the experience gained with former boards. Our journal has acquired a brand new vision together with the new and strong editorial board as well as its new cover and printing format.
2. In order to get the most out of technology tools, the former publisher was replaced with
YERKÜRE YAYINCILIK with a business agreement that is powering us institutionally.
3. Online paper submission and tracking service was started on our web site (
http://www.dusunenadamdergisi.org), which meets all requirements of contemporary publishing.
4. Starting from 2010, papers written in Engilish will be published in our journal.
5. Our purpose in providing worldwide access on our web site, to all accepted papers and their English translations starting from 2010, is to increase the number of citations.
6. It is one of our targets to be indexed as soon as possible, in the world’s leading databases like
SSCI, SCI/SCI-E and
MEDLINE.
7. Arrangements are made to speed the submission process of manuscripts.
Through those profound changes, we bring
DÜŞÜNEN ADAM: The Journal of Psychiatry and Neurological Sciences once again with its new staff and soul, into the world of science in 2010.
We kindly ask for your interest to publish your work and your support to our journal in this course of changing.
Kind regards,
Cüneyt Evren M.D., Assoc. Prof.
